Terms of Service
Last updated: 16 October 2026
These terms govern your use of the DetectifAI developer platform at platform.detectif.ai, including the dashboard, the REST API and the MCP server (together, the “Platform”), provided by DetectifAI (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Platform you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use the Platform on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you may accept these terms for it.
1. Your account
- Give accurate information and keep it up to date. One account per person.
- Keep your password and API keys secret. You are responsible for activity on your account and its keys; revoke a key from the dashboard as soon as you think it has been exposed.
- You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian where the law requires it.
2. Credits
- Model operations use credits from your account balance. Your account may include credits when you verify your email address, and you can ask for more from the dashboard; we decide on requests at our discretion.
- Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred or sold, and are not refundable. Failed requests, rejected input and replays of the same request with an idempotency key do not use credits.
- We may change how many credits operations use, or how credits are granted, with notice in the dashboard or docs.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Platform in breach of any law, or to infringe anyone’s rights;
- upload audio you do not have the right to use, or enroll anyone’s voice for speaker verification without that person’s informed consent;
- use the Platform or its results to impersonate, defraud, harass, surveil or discriminate against anyone;
- create several accounts to obtain more credits, share accounts, or get around rate limits, quotas or other technical limits;
- test, probe or attack the security of the Platform, or send traffic intended to overload it (load testing needs our written permission);
- copy, reverse engineer or extract the models, or use the Platform’s outputs to build a competing model or service;
- resell or provide the Platform to third parties as a service, other than as part of your own application.
4. Results
Deepfake detection and speaker verification are statistical. Results can be wrong, including on recordings that are short, noisy, compressed or recorded over the phone. A result is a signal, not proof. Do not use a result as the only basis for a decision that has legal or similarly significant effects on a person (for example about employment, credit, access to services, or an accusation of fraud); use human review and other evidence.
5. Your content
You keep all rights in the audio and data you send. You give us permission to process it only to provide the Platform to you, as described in the Privacy Policy. We do not store your audio or use it to train models. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them freely.
6. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Platform available and fast, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or free of errors. Requests may be rate limited or refused when the service is busy (with a response telling you when to retry). We may change, add or remove features, and we will give reasonable notice of changes that break the API.
7. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the Platform and delete your account at any time from the dashboard. We may suspend or close an account, or revoke its API keys, if it breaks these terms, puts the Platform or other users at risk, or if the law requires it. Where reasonable we will tell you why. Sections 4, 5, 8 and 9 continue to apply after termination.
8. Disclaimer
The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of results and non-infringement.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Platform. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Platform is limited to the amount you paid us for the Platform in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date above, and for significant changes we will tell you by email or in the dashboard before they take effect. If you keep using the Platform after that, the new terms apply.
